An Phan is an associate in Baron & Budd’s Settlement Group in Dallas, Texas, where she represents asbestos victims in alternative dispute resolution matters against bankruptcy trusts. Ms. Phan is proud to work on behalf of clients who have suffered greatly from corporate greed and malfeasance as she strives to obtain the compensation they deserve.
As a child, Ms. Phan watched her father, a personal injury attorney, work to safeguard the interests of aggrieved plaintiffs. Following in his footsteps, she aspires to do the same every day. Prior to law school, An Phan graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University with degrees in Spanish literature and political communications, learning to use language to effectively connect and persuade.
Ms. Phan graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in 2018, where she served on the board of the National Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and was active in the Board of Advocates. While in law school, she interned for the Securities and Exchange Commission and a civil rights non-profit organization, where she fought for victims of fraud and injustice. These positions solidified her conviction to hold corporations and government authorities accountable by protecting the federal and constitutional rights of everyday Americans.
“I became a lawyer because I believe that the law can and must be used to protect vulnerable groups from abuses of power. To that end, I will do my best to give voice to the voiceless and stand up for the rights of the downtrodden.” In her free time, Ms. Phan enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and managing her family’s restaurant.
