Information about the Lawsuit

Baron and Budd, together with co-counsel Labaton Sucharow LLP and Podhurst Orseck P.A., filed the nation’s first lawsuits in the Southern District of Florida and the Central District of California regarding the recall of Takata-brand air bags. The massive Takata airbag recall may affect more than 60 million vehicles in the U.S., some of which may have been on the road for 10 years or more.

According to many consumer reports, the air bags, when deployed, can propel metal pieces that cause serious, even fatal, injuries to drivers. The shrapnel can cause skin lacerations and severe eye injuries including blindness have been reported.

Defective airbags may also explode without warning, causing the driver to lose control, which may result in serious injury or death. If you were hurt or a loved one was killed because of a recalled airbag, contact a lawyer at Baron & Budd for help.
