Seth Casey joined the Opioid Litigation Group at Baron & Budd as an attorney in 2024. He works in electronic discovery.

Mr. Casey is an Arkansas native who grew up in the Mississippi River delta. He attended Arkansas State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy in 2012 and a master’s degree in public administration in 2015. After working for several years as a non-profit manager, Mr. Casey was accepted to the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis in Tennessee.

During law school, Mr. Casey worked as an intern for his local public defender’s office and the federal public defender’s office for the Western District of Tennessee. After earning his juris doctor in 2021, Mr. Casey began his career at Legal Aid of Arkansas where he practiced consumer protection and family law while also utilizing his non-profit background as head of LGBTQ+ advocacy.

Having seen firsthand the devastation that opioid addiction causes in rural communities, Mr. Casey now dedicates his talents to defending the rights of those affected by the crisis. When not “protecting what’s right” at Baron & Budd, Mr. Casey enjoys spending time with his wife and their two rescue dogs.
