Litigation Associate – Catastrophic Trucking

The Litigation Associate will be heavily involved in working up the liability side of the case and crash investigation and developing and maximizing a damages model. The role will require working closely with the supervising shareholder and will include:

  • Conducting research and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Attend hearings and argue motions
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Pre-trial preparation and assisting at trial
  • Ensure cases are moving forward

The position will require conducting witness interviews, attending vehicle inspections, analyzing crash-related evidence, investigating defendants and records related to their past performance, and generally gathering evidence. Additionally, the right candidate will have to work extensively with medical records, medical professionals/experts, and other damages-related evidence, witnesses, and consultants.  Must work well with a team and be willing to learn and receive training.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of litigation experience (personal injury experience is preferable)
  • JD degree from an accredited law school required
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing
