Sushma Bansal is an attorney in Baron & Budd’s Class Action Litigation Group. She joined the firm 2024 as part of the document review team.

Ms. Bansal began her legal career as a human rights lawyer working for Lawyers Collective, a public interest legal service provider in Mumbai, India, offering legal aid and allied services in human rights advocacy by providing legal assistance to those living with HIV/AIDS. Ms. Bansal then worked as an assistant professor at the Government Law College in Mumbai and the Symbiosis Law College in Pune, India. During this time, Ms. Bansal was appointed by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission as a Class I Officer of the State.

Since moving with her husband and two sons to the United States, Ms. Bansal has worked in the litigation and immigration law fields. She also volunteers her time providing help to students and the community with visa applications.

Sushma Bansal says that competence, compassion, and integrity are the core qualities she brings to the practice of being a lawyer. When she is not at work, she enjoys experiencing unique cultures all over the world with her husband and sons. She also loves reading non-fiction books and practicing yoga.
