Jack Harries joined Baron & Budd’s Dallas office as a staff attorney in the Pharmaceutical Litigation Group in September 2019. Prior to joining Baron & Budd, Mr. Harries served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Senior Judges at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C. Before his clerkship, Mr. Harries worked at a small criminal defense firm in Washington, D.C., where he developed a passion for advocating on behalf of individuals. Joining a plaintiff’s firm was a natural fit for Mr. Harries, as he is able to continue to “fight for what’s right” in the representation of people instead of corporations.
While practicing as a criminal defense attorney, Mr. Harries gained significant courtroom and trial experience. During his clerkship, Mr. Harries had the opportunity to work closely with experienced judges, allowing him to refine his legal research and writing skills and develop an appreciation for the finer points of successful litigation.
Mr. Harries grew up in Richardson, Texas. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. After completing his undergraduate education, Mr. Harries attended law school at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. While at George Washington, Mr. Harries became a member of the George Washington University International Law Review, and progressed to the final round of the first-year moot court competition.
