Kelsey Brave joined Baron and Budd as an attorney in 2024. She reviews documents for the firm’s Class Action Litigation Group.

From a young age, Mrs. Brave felt a calling to pursue a career in law. This calling was fueled by her belief in the power of advocacy and a desire to speak up for those who need it most. Mrs. Brave believes that her chosen line of work provides a unique opportunity to assist others in a meaningful way, and she is sincerely grateful for the privilege of becoming an attorney.

Mrs. Brave received her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where she served as student staff for the Center for Global Justice, Human Rights, and the Rule of Law. During this time, Mrs. Brave aided organizations including Shared Hope International and the National Center on Sexual Exploitation in their fights against human trafficking and sexual exploitation. She also served as a judicial intern for the Portsmouth Circuit Court in Portsmouth, Virginia, where she gained invaluable legal experience. In addition, Mrs. Brave interned for the State of Kentucky Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney where she focused her efforts on sexual assault and abuse cases. Before joining Baron & Budd, Mrs. Brave also gained experience in the areas of criminal law, family law, employment law, and wills, trusts, and estates.

Mrs. Brave received her Bachelor of Science degree from Murray State University in Murry, Kentucky, from which she graduated magna cum laude. During her undergraduate studies, Mrs. Brave was elected president of the university’s mock trial team, where she excelled at leading her team while competing alongside them at various mock trial competitions. During her mock trial engagement, Mrs. Brave was honored to receive the Mock Trial Most Valuable Player award. She was also selected as an honoree of the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

In her free time, Mrs. Brave loves to be with her family. She also enjoys hiking and exploring new places.
