Water—our most precious natural resource—is being threatened by a multitude of contaminants, resulting in an unprecedented crisis with local and national implications. The news is full of stories about communities that have been told their water is unsafe to drink, and that are now struggling to cleanup their water supplies.
Baron & Budd has spent more than 30 years pursuing justice for people, businesses and entities that have been harmed by corporate negligence, including those caused by water contamination. Our firm has been involved in water contamination litigation for more than 20 years, long before these types of lawsuit came to the forefront. In fact, we filed one of the first water contamination cases in the 1980s, regarding TCE water contamination in Tucson, Arizona. Since much of our work was unprecedented, it took a tremendous investment in upfront resources to handle the case. We fought for more than 20 years on the case, always knowing that what we were fighting for was worth the battle. Through our unwavering dedication, we were able to achieve a precedent-setting settlement for the city of Tucson and secure funds to clean-up the city’s water supply.
Most recently, the firm worked on the leadership committee in the litigation surrounding the 2010 Gulf oil spill against oil giant BP.
A nationally recognized leader in toxic tort litigation, we represent municipalities, water providers, and private well owners seeking cleanup costs for contaminated drinking water.
This is a problem that could impact any one of us, and it’s one we can’t afford to ignore.
