DALLAS –(May 24, 2012) –Baron and Budd is being recognized by legal publication Texas Lawyer for achieving the top two 2011 product liability verdicts in Texas for mesothelioma patients and their families. The full list of verdicts appears in the 2011 edition of Texas Lawyer’s Top TX Verdicts.
Henderson v. Dow Chemical was selected as the number one Texas product liability verdict in 2011. This mesothelioma lawsuit was filed on behalf of Mr. Henderson, deceased, his wife and two daughters. The jury awarded the Hendersons $9 million in the case.
Gensler v. Hercules, Inc. was selected as the second highest Texas product liability verdict in 2011 and is believed to be the first asbestos cancer verdict reached against Hercules for asbestos exposure at Dow Chemical. The mesothelioma lawsuit was brought on behalf of the late Mr. Gensler and his widow. The jury awarded Mr. Gensler $8.4 million.
