Baron & Budd is currently involved in litigation arising from the contamination of public drinking water supplies with perchloroethylene (PCE). PCE is a chemical commonly used by dry cleaning businesses. Over the years, it has become a prevalent contaminant in water supplies due to its widespread use and poor disposal practices. Regulatory agencies have long been aware of the contamination problem, especially because PCE is associated with an increased risk of cancer.

Public water providers must filter out PCE before it is served to consumers. The goal of our legal action is to help water providers by seeking to shift the costs of treatment to the manufacturers of PCE, PCE-containing products, and dry cleaning equipment.
