And the Countdown Begins: Sign ADAO’s Global Asbestos Awareness Week Declaration for a Worldwide Asbestos Ban Today

March 18, 2014  |  Mesothelioma

Leading up to Global Asbestos Awareness Week from April 1-7 where ADAO has scheduled a full week’s worth of their Mesothelioma Warrior stories and related need-to-know information for you to read and share with your friends and family, ADAO has an important Asbestos Ban Declaration for you to read, sign and share with your friends and family as well.

As many of you know, asbestos is still legally imported into the United States and is still being produced in countries like Brazil, Russia and China, manufactured and sold to Americans in many of the products we use for construction and plumbing services. Around the world, asbestos is still a major threat, both in its importation and in its production and manufacturing processes. ADAO wants to kick the problem where it hurts the most: By banning asbestos use altogether worldwide, effectively ending the risk of asbestos exposure and asbestos-related illnesses for good. The Worldwide Asbestos Ban Declaration is a big part of ADAO’s important efforts and we invite all of you to read, sign and share the declaration with everyone you can by April 6th, when signing of the declaration will end just in time for ADAO to share the total amount of signatures on April 7th, the final day of Global Asbestos Awareness Week.

You can read, sign and share the declaration by clicking here: http://www.asbestosdiseaseawareness.org/archives/25667

Everyone who wishes asbestos to be banned worldwide may sign, no matter who you are or where you live. You may sign the Global Asbestos Ban Declaration if you live outside of the United States. You may sign the Global Asbestos Ban Declaration if you or a loved one were victims of mesothelioma or other asbestos-related diseases. You may sign if you do not know of anyone yourself who was harmed by asbestos but are concerned over the threat of asbestos nonetheless. You may even sign on behalf of an organization or institution that you are a part of.

But most of all, you may sign the Global Asbestos Ban Declaration for common sense. Because that’s really all it takes! Asbestos should be banned worldwide. There are hundreds of thousands of people whose lives could be saved by its ban and there is not one single product that can not be made with a much-safer alternative than asbestos. End of story.

Now let’s sign the declaration already!
