Russell Budd Announces Opening of Baron & Budd, PC Office in Miami

Florida Location Selected to Best Serve Prospective Clients in BP Gulf Oil Spill;

Will Also Offer Representation in Environmental, Water, Asbestos, Securities and Unsafe Drug Cases

MIAMI (August 3, 2010) – Russell Budd announced the opening of plaintiff’s law firm Baron & Budd, P.C.‘s new office in Miami, Florida. The new office will offer its services to individuals and businesses with environmental issues as well as those victimized by unsafe drugs and securities fraud. Baron & Budd has been a leader in water contamination litigation and asbestos cases, is currently spearheading the BP Gulf Oil Spill litigation and has been a significant player in defective Chinese Drywall cases. The firm has broad expertise in practice areas that are increasingly important in Florida.

Baron and Budd’s decision to open a Florida law office is part of a larger strategy to expand the footprint of the firm and best serve client needs. The expansion has been under discussion for some time and Robert Brown, a new shareholder with the firm, will manage the Miami office.

A member of the Florida bar since 1986, Brown’s decades of experience in mass tort litigation, product liability and commercial litigation make him a valuable addition to Baron & Budd’s diverse practice. He has tried more than 50 cases to verdict and has litigated cases of importance in Florida and the Gulf Coast. He is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh District and all federal district courts in Florida.

Over the last decade, Budd has expanded the firm from its cornerstone asbestos practice to a national firm capable of tackling the biggest defendants in areas as diverse as water contamination, qui tam, California Proposition 65 violations, pharmaceutical injuries, Chinese drywall, insurance claims and securities fraud.

Most recently, the firm has begun to represent individuals and businesses that have been affected by the Gulf Oil Spill.
