READ MOREThe Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) is truly remarkable. Perhaps more than any other non-profit group, ADAO has made significant strides in educating the public about the present-day scourge of asbestos.
From its breakthrough investigation revealing everyday products that contain asbestos—including the shocking revelation that even a children’s toy and duct tape contained the dangerous fiber—to advocating for a federal asbestos ban, the ADAO is truly at the forefront of the fight to end the asbestos tragedy in the U.S. and internationally.
That’s why Baron & Budd is pleased to again serve as a sponsor of ADAO’s annual Asbestos Awareness Conference: we share ADAO’s mission to provide a voice for mesothelioma victims while ensuring that future generations are not subjected to the cycle of asbestos exposure and disease.
ADAO’s annual conference brings together hundreds of influential leaders and experts to discuss the battle against asbestos disease. Topics at the event include preventing asbestos exposure, detecting and treating asbestos-related diseases, asbestos victim and family resources and support, and global advocacy.
At the 2010 Sixth Annual International Asbestos Awareness Conference, ADAO will acknowledge the impact that numerous advocates have had on asbestos reform. Recognized advocates will include such notables as The Honorable Richard Durbin, United States Senator; Dr. Hedy Kindler, Director of the Mesothelioma Program at the University of Chicago’s Medical Center; and the Center for Asbestos Related Disease (CARD), in Libby, MT.
We congratulate ADAO on their important and meaningful work.
