Lindsay Stevens joined the San Diego, California, offices of Baron & Budd’s Environmental Litigation Group as a shareholder in 2025. Ms. Stevens’ desire to utilize her lifelong passion for writing as a tool for advocacy eventually led her to pursue a legal career where she is honored to have a positive impact on the lives of the people she represents.

Ms. Stevens’ practice has focused on protecting what’s right by holding some of the largest corporations in the world accountable for harming everyday consumers. Through the years, she has represented clients in various mass tort litigations against pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers, including the Taxotere®/docetaxel chemotherapy litigation, 3M military earplug cases, Zantac, Allergan breast implants, fluoroquinolone antibiotics (Levaquin, Cipro and Avelox), Fitbit, and the Granuflo Dialysate litigation, as well as other matters. She has also assisted in representing individuals who have suffered devastating losses from wildfires, holding electrical utility companies responsible for the harm caused by their utilities in the Woolsey and Butte fires. Before joining the firm, Ms. Stevens collaborated with Baron & Budd on the firm’s polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) litigation in representing the City of San Diego against Monsanto for polluting San Diego Bay with these forever chemicals.

Ms. Stevens was eager to join Baron & Budd’s environmental litigation team to continue her representation of public entities in PCB water contamination lawsuits against Monsanto and Bayer. She is also part of the team representing the largest group of California’s litigating public entities in the case against opioid manufacturers, distributors, and national retailers. Along with other matters, Ms. Stevens represents the counties of San Diego, Sacramento and Del Norte in representative actions on behalf of the people of the state of California for public nuisance lawsuits against social media giants Meta, Snap, Google, YouTube and TikTok, alleging the creation of a health crisis among minors in developing compulsive and addictive behaviors due to social media algorithms and user-interface design intended to create repetitive uses.

Ms. Stevens was born and raised in Southern California. In 2003, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of California at San Diego, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in human development from Thurgood Marshall College. She was an active member of the Order of Omega Honor Society and received provost’s honors. Upon graduation, she began pursuing a legal career, working as a volunteer intern in the San Diego District Attorney’s Office, Juvenile Division.

Ms. Stevens obtained her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from California Western School of Law in 2007. She was the recipient of an academic merit scholarship for the entirety of her law school career and was named to the dean’s honor list all three years, as well. While at California Western, she developed a passion for alternative dispute resolution and served as a student mediator at Juvenile Hall and Small Claims Court. Ms. Stevens received an academic achievement award for placing first in her class in both Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution and served on California Western’s Law Review as both an associate writer and associate editor.

In her spare time, Ms. Stevens enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants and attending country music concerts. She values giving back to her community and volunteers as an advisory member of Las Patronas and as a patroness of the Seaside Chapter of the National Charity League. She also loves spending every moment she can with her husband and two teenage daughters.
