Katy Davis is an attorney in Baron & Budd’s document review team that works with the Class Action, Environmental, Qui Tam, and Opioid Litigation Groups. She joined the firm in 2024.
Ms. Davis earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 2003. She went on to earn her law degree in 2007, with an emphasis in taxation, from the Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California, where she served on the Chapman Law Review. During law school, Ms. Davis interned at the United States District Court for the District of Utah and the tax division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California in Los Angeles. She also enjoyed an opportunity to represent low-income taxpayers in tax controversy cases before the IRS during her volunteer work at the Chapman University Tax Administration Clinic.
Following law school, Ms. Davis worked for firms in Illinois and Nevada with a focus on business transactions, estate planning and asset protection. The opportunity and ability to serve as an effective advocate for others is what initially attracted her to the practice of law and still drives her practice today.
When she is not at work, Ms. Davis is passionate about exploring national parks with her family. She also enjoys live music and watching Vegas Golden Knights hockey games.
