Job Title: Japanese Document Reviewer
Location: Remote
Job Summary:
Baron & Budd is seeking fluent Japanese-speaking Document Reviewers with a Juris Doctor (JD) and an active bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for attorneys with strong language skills and litigation experience who are looking to contribute to high-impact legal matters involving Japanese-language documents. This role requires precision, confidentiality, and a deep understanding of legal review processes. Please note prior defense-side experience may present conflicts and could disqualify candidates from consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze Japanese-language documents for relevance and key issues in ongoing litigation
- Translate and/or summarize complex technical and legal content from Japanese to English
- Apply legal knowledge to identify information and support case strategy
- Collaborate with litigation and document review teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in document coding
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to project-specific protocols and deadlines
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar license in good standing with any U.S. jurisdiction
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Plaintiff-side litigation experience; defense-side experience may be disqualifying due to conflicts
- Willing to work full-time remotely Monday through Friday
- Willing to commit solely on this matter
