Taylor Floyd joined Baron & Budd’s Pharmaceutical Litigation Group in 2018. Ms. Floyd represents plaintiff municipalities and other government entities in the fight against the opioid drug epidemic.
Ms. Floyd earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University in 2014. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as Victim Coordinator for the Utah County Attorney’s Office and developed a passion for utilizing the legal system to help others.
Taylor Floyd started law school at the age of 19 at J. Reuben Clark Law School in Provo, Utah. While pursuing her law degree, Ms. Floyd volunteered at the Timpanogos Legal Center where she helped individuals who could not afford legal support. Ms. Floyd also worked as a research assistant on issues pertaining to early American law, summarizing criminal cases in the United States from the 1800s. In her first year of law school, she spent a summer working for an environmental law firm in Wellington, New Zealand, helping to protect its natural resources.
Prior to joining Baron & Budd, Taylor Floyd was a fellowship attorney for the Provo City Attorney’s Office. Ms. Floyd represented the City in the local justice court and worked to amend ordinances to protect residents from harmful business practices. Once Ms. Floyd learned of Baron & Budd’s storied reputation for “fighting for what’s right”, she realized that Baron & Budd’s wholesome values fit together perfectly with her life’s calling to utilize the legal system to help others.
Taylor Floyd grew up in Northern California and is the oldest of nine children. In addition to her work within the legal community, Ms. Floyd enjoys running marathons and spending time with Ryker, her F5 Savannah cat.
