Michael von Klemperer is a member of Baron & Budd’s Opioid Litigation Group in Washington, D.C. Mr. von Klemperer represents clients in a range of matters in state and federal courts across the United States. He joined Baron & Budd in 2020, bringing eight years of experience litigating complex matters, including antitrust, intellectual property, employment discrimination class actions, and qui tam cases.
Prior to joining Baron & Budd, Mr. von Klemperer worked for the boutique litigation firm Kotchen & Low LLP where he was involved in a wide range of matters and all facets of litigation, from initial investigation to appeal. Before Kotchen & Low, he clerked for District Judge Barbara Rothstein of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Mr. von Klemperer obtained his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and participated in Vanderbilt’s Advanced Trial Advocacy program. During law school, he also interned for the Department of Justice and several U.S. Attorneys’ Offices. He received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University, graduating with honors.
Mr. von Klemperer resides in Washington, D.C. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, backpacking, and spending time with family.
