Dori Persky Tesser joined the Washington D.C. offices of Baron & Budd in 2021 as an associate with the Opioid Litigation Group. Before joining Baron & Budd, Ms. Persky Tesser worked at The Gori Law Firm for five years, where she represented hundreds of individuals who have developed serious illness from exposure to asbestos. Ms. Persky Tesser is excited to continue working on the plaintiff side.
Ms. Persky Tesser graduated in 2009 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she majored in European studies, corporate management, and art history. She moved to Washington D.C. that same year and took a job as a due diligence researcher for Westlaw Court Express, a court document retrieval service, and worked there several years before starting law school. In 2012, Ms. Persky Tesser enrolled at American University, Washington College of Law, in the District of Columbia.
During law school, Ms. Persky Tesser interned for the U.S. Department of Justice, working with their Environmental Torts Litigation Division. She also interned for a plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Maryland and for the Honorable Ketanji Brown Jackson at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Additionally, while in law school, Ms. Persky Tesser participated in her school’s Civil Advocacy Clinic, where she represented low-income clients as a student attorney in a variety of claims in D.C. Superior Court.
When not in the office, Ms. Persky Tesser enjoys cooking, traveling internationally, and exploring the many restaurants of Washington D.C. At the top of her travel bucket list are Greece, Peru, and Thailand.
