Which Roundup Products Contain Glyphosate?

August 22, 2017  |  Environmental, Roundup

If you’ve been paying attention to litigation regarding Monsanto’s Roundup weed killer, you might assume that there’s only one Roundup product on the market that contains the dangerous herbicide glyphosate. There are actually 22 Roundup products that contain glyphosate, a cancer causing substance (carcinogen). Here’s a quick rundown of those products so you are completely aware of what you’re purchasing.

Why is Glyphosate Dangerous?

Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, has been linked to a type of cancer known as non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. One research publication published an in-depth analysis of the connection between glyphosate and the disease and found a “striking increase” in the number of cases of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma linked to glyphosate use. Once the links was established, people began filing lawsuits seeking justice and compensation from Monsanto.

These are the Roundup products that contain this potentially deadly chemical.

Alarming Trends

As you can see, there are a lot of different ways you can purchase glyphosate. But what’s even scarier is that so much of this chemical is being used all over the country it’s getting into our food supply.

In November 2016, EcoWatch published an article covering the results of recent tests that showed a wide variety of popular foods – including some of the most trusted brands in the history of U.S. manufacturing – tested positive for samples of glyphosate. These included Cheerios, Ritz crackers, Special K cereal and many others.

One of the reasons this is occurring, according to the article, is that glyphosate is often sprayed on crops that have been specifically engineered to tolerate the chemical. These include sugar beets, canola, corn, soybeans and others. Farmers commonly spray the herbicide on crops used in many of the foods we eat every day, such as oats, wheat and barley.

The bottom line is that glyphosate is everywhere – maybe even in the cereal you ate this morning. And that is a truly frightening prospect.

People across the country are fighting back against Monsanto by filing lawsuits alleging that they were diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after being exposed to Roundup. If you have been diagnosed with this disease and you suffered Roundup exposure, you might be able to seek compensation as well.
