Louisiana State Senator Julie Quinn (R-Metairie) traveled to Washington in late September to meet with members of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on behalf of Louisiana homeowners with tainted Chinese drywall. She spoke in favor of a proposed federal bill that would require foreign manufacturers who sell their products in the U.S. to be subject to the jurisdiction of U.S. courts.

It is estimated that over 4,000 homes in Louisiana contain tainted Chinese drywall, which corrodes copper wiring and stainless steel appliances and also poses health risks.
