Water is one of our most precious and essential natural resources. It is a symbol of purity. But modern industry has put our water at risk. Water pollution threatens to make our water undrinkable in some areas. A wide range of water contaminants—chemicals like MTBE, solvents like TCE and PCE, fertilizers and pesticides such as atrazine—are a real risk to the quality of our water, and Baron & Budd has stepped up to protect the purity and safety of our water supply.

Few men in the history of the Navy have had such a positive impact upon that service as has as Admiral Elmo R. Zumwalt, Jr. Well-loved and respected, he is remembered as a trailblazer who reformed the Navy and a champion of the men and women who served our country. Tragically, his very service to our Nation also resulted in his death – not from battle, but from exposure to asbestos. Like so many members of the Navy who served from World War II through the Vietnam war, Admiral Zumwalt developed mesothelioma from his exposure to asbestos aboard U.S. Navy ships. Baron & Budd is honored to have represented his family in their case against the companies responsible for his death.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast is known for its beautiful beaches, tranquil lifestyle, and neighborly residents. But since at least 1979, it has also been the home of a chemical plant that has spewed toxic chemicals into the air and water – toxins that have blanketed the surrounding communities and caused cancers and other diseases among its residents.
