Attorney Profiles
Biography
Shaneka helps the firm’s clients negotiate their way through bankruptcy claims and the settlement process. She came to Baron & Budd because of her desire to help people, and she is able to work with individual clients every day.
“I enjoy the feeling that I’m actually making a difference in a person’s life,” says Shaneka. “Even doing the little things feels great when I know it’s going to benefit our clients.”
Shaneka has known for a long time that she wanted to be an attorney, ever since she met an attorney at her school’s career day when she was seven years old. Shaneka remembers, “She told me her job was to help people who couldn’t help themselves, and she carried all of the important information she needed in her briefcase.” When Shaneka got home, she told her mother she was going to be an attorney and have a briefcase, too..
When she’s not busy at work, Shaneka enjoys cooking, traveling and watching sports—especially football. And being a people person, she loves to plan weddings and parties.
