Biography

Attorney Jeffrey O’Connell has devoted his entire legal career to helping people with asbestos-related diseases and is an important part of Baron & Budd’s national asbestos practice. Jeff is an integral part of the litigation team that handles discovery and prepares these complex cases for trial, a role that calls heavily on his great patience and unyielding persistence.

In addition to his work on active cases, Jeff also takes pride in being a “first responder” when people contact Baron & Budd and want to initiate a lawsuit. Because of his long-time experience with asbestos cases and his familiarity with every stage of the litigation, he is well prepared to speak with new clients, articulately answering their questions and explaining the legal process. Jeff is especially skilled at breaking down the stages of a lawsuit, making sure that the client understands what to expect. He understands his clients’ need to minimize the time and energy they put into the process so that they can focus on their loved ones and medical needs.

When Jeff is not working on behalf of his clients, he enjoys reading and traveling, especially to someplace a little cooler than Texas.
